Vitamins
Promotes Health and Wellness
MultiVitamins should be an important part of any diet plan. Overall, everybody's body needs 13 essential vitamins to maintain health
and wellness. These vitamins include A, B, C, D, E, K, B-12 and the 7
B-complex vitamins. Most of these vitamins get consumed through the food
we eat, which is where the problem lies. Most of us do not
consume enough nutrients through our diet. Also, certain
environmental factors can reduce fresh food's nutrient value, making it important to
take daily multivitamin supplements.
Omega-3 fatty acids are
considered essential fatty acids: They are necessary for human health
but the body can' t make them -- we have to get them through food.
Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in fish (such as salmon, tuna, halibut), other seafood including algae and krill, some plants and nut
oils. Also known as polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), omega-3 fatty
acids play a crucial role in brain function as well as normal growth and
development. They have also become popular because they may reduce the
risk of heart disease. Research shows that omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and may help lower
risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and arthritis.
